Brin Friesen (b.1979) grew up in Vancouver and later lived in Madrid and Havana. His first novel, Sic, was published by and/or Press in 2006 and optioned for film that same year. Brin Friesen's work has appeared in The Toronto Quarterly, Pyramid Power, and Avantoure. He is also a regular contributor on the literary website, The Nervous Breakdown. Brin Friesen currently lives and works in Vancouver.
